A Thought for Today about "Enduring"...
"For the world, enduring may be enough. But enduring well with grace under pressure is required of us. We all feel the world. There is no safe sanctuary into which an individual can retreat except the sanctuary of the committed life, consciously chosen, in which an individual reaches a supposed breaking point but does not break."

Thank you, Shelli.
ReplyDeleteGrace is the key under pressure, I know I have not always felt that grace. Many people that I have talked to who also know the lord have felt the same. That is when we really are to dig deeper into his word and there we will find comfort.
ReplyDeleteShelli, your post reminds me of an old chorus I used to play on my guitar. "I know the Lord will make a way for me, I know the Lord will make a way for me. If I live a holy life, shun the wrong and do the right; I know the Lord will make a way for me!" God bless you and keep you! His arms are snug around you and then He takes the time to have carved you in the palm of His hand.
ReplyDeleteI like your thought. It looks like it counts for a good point for journal writing for the day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote, thanks for sharing it, I haven't heard it before.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind if I share it on my blog?

ReplyDelete(Whoops...user error earlier!) Carol, of course you can post the quote on your blog! And thanks, everyone for your comments and input. Having to endure something strikes us all at some point, doesn't it?
